How does Spin Thicket work?
Spin Thicket is a place where you can read, submit and comment on news stories and blog posts in the general categories of Advertising, Celebrity, Media, Politics and PR. To submit a post, simply go to "Submit a Link" and enter the URL of your article, the name of the news source, and a headline for your submission. We encourage creative and descriptive headlines; have some fun!

What is the right category for my post?

Spin Thicket has five color-coded parent categories: Advertising, Celebrity, Media, Politics, and PR. The subcategories for these parent categories are as follows:

Advertising: Ad Biz, Cool Commercials, Sex Sells, Brand Equity
Celebrity: Hollywood Spin, Celebrity Trainwrecks, Freudian Nip Slips, Attention Whores
Media: Media Biz, Braindead Media, On-Air Meltdowns, Typos, Newsbabes, Viral Fun, NSFW
Politics: Political Spin, Idiot Pundits, Media Bias, Craven Demogogues
PR: PR Biz, Publicity Stunts, PR Nightmares, Tech Spin, Social Disease Media, PR Advice

When posting an article on Spin Thicket, just choose the most appropriate category from the scroll-down menu.

What is My Thicket?
My Thicket is your personal page, where you and other members of the Spin Thicket community can view your bio, your picture, and your recent posts and comments. Everyone who creates an account has a My Thicket page.

I'd like to add a news source or blog to the news source drop-down menu. How can I do this?
E-mail info@ideagrove.com with the name of the news source and a logo (77 x 27 pixels). We're happy to add the logos of relevant news sources, including blogs, to our list.

I'm interested in some Spin Thicket categories but not others. How can I view only the stories I'm interested in?
When visiting the site, simply click on a parent category in the top navigation (Advertising, Celebrity, Media, Politics, PR) to see only posts from that category. To view only posts within a specific subcategory (e.g., Attention Whores, Publicity Stunts or Media Bias), just click on the subcategory name wherever you see it and all recent posts from that subcategory will be displayed.
