Great post and overall philosophy. It is way too easy to get caught up in the social media venues that are becoming established. While doing so is certainly easier than staying highly attuned to new developments, it is certainly not as responsible as a professional. (As an aside, honorable mention goes to Mr. Baradell, as his comment on Pingbacks certainly follows this line of thinking).
